This is a series of podcasts, audio articles and other work produced by site creator Alex Shaw. They include multi-part movie review shows for classic series’ like Star Wars and Harry Potter, focused-topic or title-specific game discussions, quiz shows like the retro-inspired Never Mind the BuzzGeeks, fevered musings on our public and private lives as geeks and anything else that pops into Alex’s head.
A regular series of review podcasts delving into all things geeky with a particular focus on bloody horror movies. Created and hosted by James ‘Mijmeister’ Perkins of GameBurst, Geek Wad is presented by Gonzo Planet as the first of a series of quality shows that uphold a certain ethos of enthusiastic commentary on the media we love.
Publishing articles in AUDIO, VIDEO and TEXT form; The Freelancers Guild is a way of showcasing the talents of independent creative folks from all over the internet. Everyone contributes at least one monthly piece. Be sure to check out their profiles for links to their personal projects.
Almost identical in nature to The Freelancers’ Guild, only without the obligation of a set, monthly submission. The Guest Speakers will produce work for Gonzo Planet as and when they have the time, even if it’s only a one-off appearance.
Re-published here periodically; classic episodes of Digital Cowboys. A truly special podcast to a lot of people, this show ran from April 2007 through to July 2011. Over 200 shows and specials, featuring hundreds of guests, topics and interviews and some of the best fun available on the internet.
This is a podcast put together by members of the Gonzo Planet forum and extended community and published through the Digital Gonzo feed. It started out as The Digital Cowboys Community Cast, instated when DC was on hiatus. Now that the community has regrouped their intention is to continue with similar shows focusing on the geeky subjects they are passionate about.
